Who We Are

Hunger Aid is a not-for-profit organization that aims to solve hunger in India by connecting two major social problems: Hunger and Food wastage as solutions for each other.

We tackle these by channelizing extra (nutritious) food from individuals, weddings, restaurants, corporate offices to the people who really need it and have no means or access to food

Our city chapters are run by individuals, who want to make a difference in the society. For example, We have a restaurant in Sarabha Nagar that is willing to donate its excess leftover food to the homeless people of city, Our volunteers living in Sarabha Nagar will collect that food and take it for distribution to nearby slums, shelter homes, needy people etc. Our “Hunger Fighters” are largely students and young working professionals – everyone does this as and when they are available.

Registered as Hunger Aid Wefare Society Under Indian Society Registration Act XXI, 1860.

All donations are tax-exempted as eligible under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

We are registered for undertaking CSR activities under the Companies Act, 2013.

What We Do

— Receive Pickup Call

We receive call from donor regarding leftover good quality food at his premises.

— "Hunger Fighter" Leave for collection

After pickup call is received, our volunteers available at that time for pickup leaves for collection of food.

— Food Collection

Volunteers ensures hygiene of food and after that collect food in our containers

04.

— Reach Distribution Points

After collection of food, our volunteers reach at identified distribution points.

Distribution points can be a slum area, old age home, Shelter Homes, Roadsides etc.

05.

— Distribution Start

Our Hunger Fighters distribute food to needy people.

06.

— Happiness Bought

After distribution, our Hunger Fighters leave their home happily.
